Philosophy
To offer the latest in chiropractic, rehabilitative techniques, procedures and approaches to maximize patient response to treatment. In addition to manipulative treatment patients are instructed and perform exercise for strength, flexibility and stabilization. Evidence Based Medicine is important in the office, as all techniques used will have to have had positive controlled clinical trials published to be eligible for use on our patients. Patients are placed in initial clinical trials and when reaching maximum improvement, dismissed from care and a majority transitioned into an independent home exercise program. Some patients do require palliative care. Patients not responding to desired levels are referred to other appropriate providers such as medical/osteopathic providers that commonly treat in an integrated approach.

  Model
Our practice model of treating patients involves a function orientated approach versus a pain orientated approach. The functional model is the leading approach in the rehabilitative literature today.

  Goal
Our goal is to help the patient regain as many of the lost physical activities as possible. This may be simple daily activities such as walking a certain distance or sitting at their desk job. Other patients may need help getting stronger in their core trunk region so they can lift boxes at work. Pain reduction typically follows improvements in the functional gains. Functional gains are monitored by various questionnaires and by discussions with the patients at the time of the office visit.
