(PGA) from 2001-2007. He has taught in the post-graduate faculty divisions of chiropractic colleges for over 20 years on rehabilitation of back and neck injuries in athletes. Dr Aspegren was one of the first chiropractors selected to participate as part of the sportsmedicine team at the United States Olympic Training Center. As a lecturer, he was recently an invited speaker on a sportsmedicine program held in Indianapolis during the NFL Combine event. In 2007 and 2008 he became an invited author for the British Medical Journal (BMJ) after publishing a sports related paper on costochondritis in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics. In addition to writing and speaking in the fields of chiropractic, rehabilitation and sportsmedicine, Dr Aspegren has several studies coming to publication regarding analysis of injured workers treated within an integrative chiropractic program.
A brief overview of his education includes two bachelors degrees in biological sciences, a masters degree of science in sportsmedicine, a doctorate in chiropractic. Dr Aspegren completed a two year residency program under the direction of renowned James M. Cox, DC,DACBR in Ft. Wayne Indiana before entering practice in Colorado. Dr Aspegren is a member of SelectNet, involved in the treatment of injured workers for Pinnacol Assurance. He also has served on treatment guideline committees for the State of Colorado Division of Workers Compensation.
Dr Aspegren maintains a private practice in Lakewood Colorado.
